Following the horrific bushfire season in Victoria in the summer of 2008/09, the White Pages team at Sensis briefed Clemenger Proximity to create a content managed site, allowing them to post contact details relative to public emergency situations.
White Pages Community was developed by my team and I to address this need, and with other stakeholders at Sensis on-board, sections of the site were added to showcase the annual Covers Program and general White Pages News.

My role, as well as the normal project management role taken on by a producer, was in creating the information architecture and interface layout. Jon Kerney took these and created a spacious and highly navigable interface design for the entire site. Anthony Smith then took these designs, and in a semi-R&D way set about developing the site in Drupal for a fully content managed site. This is really one of those sites that looks easy (thanks to the great work of said design/developer team) due to user interface, but was tricky technically to complete, and Anthony did a top job of customising the workflow for the CMS user.

Two superfoods – brocolli and salmon, coupled with one of the healthiest foods from the base food group – brown rice, makes a very cheap and extremely healthy meal.
I have lived with a good friend of mine for a few years, who 4/7 nights a week would eat brocolli/tuna/pasta as it was cheap (and from his nutrition education as a chef) and very nutritious. So I made my own twist on it, to make it more palatable night after night…
Ingredients:
- John West Salmon Tempters (either Lemon & Cracked Pepper, Chilli, Natural Smoked or Sweet Chilli & Lime – these all comprise over 61% of Salmon) – $2.29 per 95g tin. If you have not had much energy food that day you can try the Pink Salmon 105g tin – $2.79.
- Brocolli – $4 to $8 a kg depending on season and availability.
- Brown rice – $4 per kg.
- Salt.
- Pasta sauce, containing tomato, another superfood, just look out for sauces which are high in sugar (optional – flavour in the Salmon tins are often enough).
Instructions:
- Add water and salt to a pot, heat to a rolling boil.
- Add pasta, cook for 8 mins.
- Add brocolli and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.
- Strain, serve in a bowl. Add contents of Salmon tin and stir.
- Add pasta sauce, cheese, seasoning etc (all optional).
Somehow I just don’t get sick of this meal. For around $3.50 you get a huge amount of vitamins and healthy fats. This will be a key staple in an upcoming van convoy around parts of Australia.

It has been over a year since I posted something, travels and work lead to music neglect.
I just uploaded a new mix to my music share. It is a snippet from an old-ish larger mix, saving the best for first.
Playlist:
- Phil Collins – Another Day In Paradise
- Layo & Bushwacka – Smith Street
- The Streets – The Strongest
- Architecture in Helsinki – Do The Worldwind (which by the way has a super-rad film-clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXIzyquw-kc)

Go to my music share page to download this mix and all my older explorations…

The reverse fish-eye looking photo below was taken during work on the Bare All project.

Launched in February 2010, my role was Senior Interactive Producer at Clemenger Digital, for Clemenger BBDO Melbourne. Working with an integrated agency team, external 3D animators (Trilobite) and sound studio (Flagstaff Studios) and photographer (David Rosendale).
Lead designer and interactive developer Michael Beech put in a huge effort for a very impressive result. The thing I love about working at this agency is how integrated it really is, and many of the creatives admit to not being so technically savvy which I truly think is a good thing – they think without restraints.
Here are some key screens from the site:

Linear navigation for character sequence, with a very smart cascading loading strategy...and a pre-loader you can play with

This was a monster, but I dug in hard and really loved it. Very challenging, the largest site I and pretty much everyone on the team had built.
